Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #104

Welcome friends!  Happy Sunday to you all!  Today, we have another fun and inspiring Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.  I hope you'll join in with us this week.  Trust me, you'll have a blast!!  Here's my sample for this week's cupcakes...

What do you think??  Tell you the truth, I love this card!!  It's bright with a fabulous image, great papers, and fun embellies.  What more could you ask for??  : )  Now... time to share the inspiration photo for this challenge...

Aren't these ca-yute???  Can anything say spring better than these flowery cupcakes??  I don't think so!  And I love the colors!  I just can't imagine all the time it would take to make all those little flowers!!  At least for me it would take forever!!

Our sponsor this week is Paper Pretties.  They've got some awfully cute images!  The lucky random winner will receive a stamp of their choice.

This sweet image is one from Tiddly Inks and is actually a freebie!!!  Can't get any better than free, right?!?!  He's one of the Bumble Bears and is called For You.  I got all the cupcake colors in those flowers, but you can't even tell there are yellow ones in there!  I should have colored the flowers from lighter big ones to dark for the small flowers.  Once again... live and learn!!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #103

Good morning everyone.  I hope your day is going fabulously!!  This morning I'm exceedingly tired for some reason.  But right now, it's lovely outside after a day of rain yesterday, so that makes me smile.  And since it's Sunday, it's time for another Cupcake Inspirations challenge.  I believe the inspiration photo this week will make you smile.  Here's what I came up with this week...

This is one of those adorable Pure Innocence images from Heather Ellis who we are lucky enough to have as our sponsor this week.  This week's randomly chosen winner will receive 3 of Heather's designs of their choice, either from her Etsy Shop or her webstore.  And this image works in perfectly with our wonderful cupcakes this week...

Aren't those wonderful??  Daisies are honestly my favorite flower.  They are sweet, simple, fresh, beautiful and just brighten your day.  I was thrilled when I saw this photo for the first time.  And the creator of these sweet cupckaes did the daisy proud!!

I embellished on the colors a bit this week.  I added red and that lovely blue to give more pop to my card.  I did however, want to emphasize the daisies/flowers theme.  So to top off the daisies in the image, I added a few punch out white flowers with big yellow centers.   Tada... daisies!!

Now, on the image's daisies, I'd originally used the grey shading on them, but I'll tell ya... that was a mistake!!  It just dirtied them up and they didn't stand out as I wanted.  So I changed them back to plain white by using my little Signo white pen to fill in the petals.  Ahhhhh... much better.  You'll notice that I'd forgotten to fix the little daisy in her hair, but that'll show you the before/after difference.  And now I have that one fixed.  I also added some yellow fuzz to the center of each daisy.  I know it's hard to tell but IRL it makes a difference.

Good day my friends.  So glad you stopped by today.  I've been playing with another wonderful Teddo Bo image that I'll be able to enter into the latest Teddy Bo Challenge, which is a great sketch.  I love sketch challenges.  They just make life easier.  : )

Dontcha just love this image???  I had a blast coloring her up.  And I got out of my comfort zone a bit by putting together some DPs that mostly don't seem to go together.  So many times I've seen other very talented bloggers do this very thing and their creations always looks so wonderful!  So, I thought I'd take a stab at it.  I don't think it's too bad, but I know I have a ways to go to get better and more comfortable!!

One paper I just had to include on this card was the music paper.  If you hadn't yet noticed, the title to that song is 'The Rabbit".  Yep... yep... yep... just had to do it.  I added some extra distressing by sponging around the edges of "The Rabbit" song circle, added a few buttons, several flowers, a bit of stickles and tada... done.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #24

Good morning friends.  Man, the weather in my area was just wonderful yesterday and is supposed to be again today.  That really puts a smile on my face!!  Something else that puts a smile on my face is a new Aud Sentiments Challenge.  (OK... that was just too corny, wasn't it?? haha!)  The challenge theme this week is 'Get Well cards'.  What a great idea as I never have one when I need one!!  You too?

This image is called 'Little Honey's Nurse' and is from Sassy Studios, our sponsor for this challenge.  They kindly shared some images with the DT and I chose this one.  She was very fun to color... and fast!!  I think I made this card in record time!!  As always with my pinks, they are quite yucky in the photo.  Please imagine the bow and pearls and a perky, pearly pink, 'K?

I colored my nurse up in Breast Cancer awareness colors.  I have a few girlfriends that have suffered from this awful disease and know what a tough road that is to travel.  Luckily, all I've known have survived and are doing well.  Let's all pray that more and more women enjoy that outcome and that it continues for my friends.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #102

Good morning friends and family!!  Happy Sunday to you all.  Sunday... Cupcake Inspirations Challenge... they just go together.  This week we have another wonderful photo inspiration that I think you'll really love.  But first... my take on this week's challenge...

Do you love those little ants or what???  But let's get to our inspiration for this week first...

Oh yum!!  AND beautiful too!!  This is one of my favorite color combos, at least when it's nice and soft and sweet  like these cupcakes.  Hearts, roses and clover... what a great combination!!

Our sponsor this week is Doodle Pantry.  They kindly shared some images with the DT so we could play a bit.  This image and sentiment are from a set called Clover Patch Ants.  They have several great ants images/sets as well as lots of other adorable images.  And they are sooooo reasonably priced!  I think you'll have a great time if you go browse around their store a while.  They are offering a $10 prize to one lucky random winner this week.

I finally made the Teddy Bo Challenge!!

WOW!!  My second post today!!  I almost never do that!!  : )  If you're looking for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge, see the previous post or click  here.

YAY!!!!  I've made a couple other Teddy Bo cards and missed the challenge deadline on each.  But... today, I'm ahead of the deadline... by 3+ hours!!!  Heeheeheehee!!

This image is called 'sitting waiting for you'.  So sweet, isn't she???  And really, really fun to color up.  The Teddy Bo Challenge this week was to use brown and duck egg blue.  I don't really know what duck egg blue looks like, but I hope this is close!  I actually did google it and I think it's pretty good, but there were lots of duck egg blue blues.

Since I don't have any chair or bench or other 'sit on' things, I had to sit Bea on the ribbon.  I guess that works.  Oh... I finally got the 'hanging image' with nesties to work right.  Ya know, it's the little successes that make me happy!!  How 'bout you??
