Such a sweet angel

Happy Sunday dear visitors.  Look at me... two posts in the last three days!!!  How's that for improvement.  Actually, this is because I made several cards this past month or so and now just need to post them as I can.  I kinda like that.  : )

Isn't this a beautiful image?  When I first saw her I just had to have her.  She's called Charity Angel and can be found at Michelle Perkett's Etsy shop.. Like soooo many times, I purchased her quite some time ago, but am just now getting around to working her up.  And I'm glad I finally got to it.  Great fun!  I might suggest you go take a look at Michelle's shop.  She has lots of wonderful angels, fairies, mermaids and on and on.  I hope you love her work as much as I do.

This is one of those dresses that just had to be glittered up.  Then just some beautiful lace and a few pearls. I didn't want to use too many colors or embellishments.  I wanted this image to shine.  And... I think she does.

A fun Uptown Girl... Lucille

Hello stamping friends.  I hope your Friday has started out wonderfully.  I'm off work for a couple of days, so mine day is going great!!

A while back I made a card for my granddaughter so she'd know I was thinking of her and loving her.  The perfect image to convey those sentiments was from Stamping Bella and is called Lucille sending her love.  She's one of the fab Uptown Girls from Stamping Bella.  They are really, really fun to color up.  Here's my attempt...

She really loved it. Not surprising as she's my biggest fan.  It's very sweet!  I hope you enjoy it too.  As usual, my pinks aren't as pretty as in 'real life'.  I've been told it's probably my lighting.  I do hope to take care of that some time soon.

Finally... I found my smile

... and it's good to be back stamping and coloring and blogging!  I'm so very sorry to have been absent so long. More on that later.  Right now I'm going to share a new card with you.  It will take me a bit to get my skills back up to snuff, but here's my starting attempt.

This is a sweetie of an image from Stamping Bella named Ramona and her Wagon.  There are several Ramona stamps and they are all a-DOR-able!  What a fun way to get back into creating cards, right?  I colored her up, added white flowers w/ gold buttons (like daisies?), butterflies, gems, the sun, some glitter and some fluff stuff.  Voila.  I even get to enter a recycle challenge or two as the sun is from the packaging of something I bought the week before.  This was the inside of that packaging.  {smile}

Just to let you all know, my absence was due to my mom passing away last fall.  I was just not ready for that and it just broke my heart.  It's taken this long for me to find my feet and find the desire to do things I enjoy again.  I still miss her terribly, but most days are much, much better!  I just wanted to give my mom props!!  She was one of a kind and my life has changed a great deal since she's been gone.  Bless you Mom.  You're the best!!
