Good morning friends! I'm afraid I'm running late this morning. Yeesh... my 'puter is sooooooo slow!!! It's actually painful to sit here and watch it do nothing for what seems like AGES!!! haha! But, today's about our Cupcake Inspirations Challenge for this week. I think you're going to love this one!! Here's my take on the photo...
Now... how's that for some color?!?!? Well, for me, that's what this week's challenge was all about. Bright, bold, beautiful color. I think you'll understand when you see the inspiration photo...
WOW!! Aren't those great? I always love the photos Rachel comes up with. So easy to be inspired by them. My little image is Cupcake Chloe. She's from InStyle Stamps who just happens to be our sponsor this week. They kindly shared some images we could chose from if we wanted to. I loved Chloe so chose her. And for the winner of this week's challenge, four (4) digital images of your choice. Yeah baby!!
Other challenges:
Sunday Sketch & Stamp - SKETCH
Let's Ink it Up - anything goes
Charisma Cardz - hot, hot, hot (colors)

That's about all I've got for now. I'm heading out to my mom's soon for lunch and some chit-chat. I hope you ALL have a wonderful Sunday. Thanks for stopping by today. Come back soon, 'K?

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #73
Good Sunday morning friends. How are you this beautiful morning? Well... I really don't know if it's a beautiful day or not as I'm out of town this weekend. I've pre-posted this and hope I didn't screw it up!! I've prepared this card in advance of my leaving as it's time for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge! {smile}
Now this card is a bit different for me... at least the orchidy color. I rarely use it, but when I do I usually like the results quite a bit as I do with this card. Since I don't use it much, I don't have much orchid cardstock. I only had enough to punch out the butterflies, but not enough to use for matting. Thus, I had to make some of my own orchid 'cardstock'. I took my Versa Magic chalk ink spring pansy and sponged it onto some white cardstock to make the matting layers you see. I also used this chalk ink on the ribbon. Voila... easy, peasy perfect match!!
I choose these colors because of the cupcake inspiration for this week's challenge. Aren't they something?? Well... when I first saw them, I immediately thought of this Phindy's Place image of the little girl with the flower dress. I'd purchased her to work up for my granddaughter. We'd just bought her a white dress with black flowers on it and I thought she'd be tickled to have a card to match. But, this challenge came up before I got that one made, so I think she'll probably get this one.
This card was one of those adventures when as you're working along, you really don't like what's happening before your eyes. But then, when it's done and you step back, it's not half bad!!! Ever have that happen to you? Now, I do think it's a tad on the blah side, but I think it's mostly OK. {smile}
Our sponsor this week is Phindy's Place. They're generously offering a $10 gift certificate to a randomly drawn winner. I sure hope you'll join in and have some fun with us and maybe win a prize. Pop on over to the CIC blog to check out what's going on. Oh... and please visit all the DT's blogs as they are always coming up with some wonderful projects.
Other Challenges:
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - buttons and butterflies
Fairy Fun Friday - punch it
Stamp Something - digi day
Craft Your Days Away - favorite things - for me... little girls
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - buttons and bows (bow in her hair???)
7 Kids College Fund Challenge - strip it down... no more than two layers of DP.
Digital Tuesday Challenge - use your scraps... both butterfly layers and the back nestie were punched from leftover scraps. The ribbon was almost the end of a roll.
That's it for today. Thanks so much for popping in. Come back again soon, 'K?

Bellarific Friday - YIPPEE
Good morning Bella lovers and all other stamping friends. It's another Friday... even better... another Bellarific Friday. This always makes me smile!! How about you? Are you a Bella sistah too??? This is the third week of entries in August for anyone who's interested in becoming a Bella Babe!
For this week's challenge, I opted to use birthday boy which I just aDORE for a little boy's birthday! I colored him up in bright colors as I figured little boys would like that too. : ) The challenge for this week's Bellarific Friday is a sketch. Check it out...
This was a tricky one for me. Actually the whole card was. I couldn't decide on a image OR papers. I fretted over both for quite some time. Now that it's over and done, I really like my choices!! Hope you do too!!!
I don't have much more time to chat as I have to run today. Hopefully, you can pop on over to and join in this challenge! Look forward to seeing your creations.

Simple pleasures
Hello my friends. So glad you stopped by to visit today. Did you hear that Stamping Bella is looking for a new Bella Babe? Turns out one of the Babes left the team so there is now an opening. I'm gonna give it a shot, but I'm sure there will a ton of others with the same goal in mind. But, I'm so tickled to have such an opportunity as this is the first time Emily has ever opened up the search to a DT call. Thanks Em for giving us a chance!!
The challenge for this first week of August is paper piecing. Ya know, I really do enjoy this technique, but it can also be quite a chore! I paper pieced both her little skirt and jacket. I wanted to try a flowery edge on her skirt and think it turned out pretty well. I chose to use Izzie has a Daisy (just love the Izzies!). I just used Izzie has a BIRFDAY a week or so ago. They are soooo cute and soooo fun to play with.
I had the hardest time selecting which papers to use. Ended up with BG wisteria. It provides a lot of different options... great pastels and some with deep, bold colors. I went the more pastely road as I wanted sweet and feminine. I really like the result. {smiling}
After the paper piecing, I did a little shading on the jacket with my prismacolor pencils, plus worked the grass following Paulabella's tutorial. It's sensational!! You can find it here.
Challenges:
Bloggabella - paper piecing and DT call
The Sweet Stop - the sketch
Going Grey - anything goes
Creative Card Crew - cute and girlie
Allsorts - dressing up
One Stop Craft Challenge - patterns
Totally Papercrafts - going to the movies - "Please Don't Eat the Daisies"
Simon Says Stamp - sing it baby - "Please Don't Eat the Daisies"
Crafty Ann's Challenge - lazy, hazy days of summer
Hmmmm... pretty good line-up, huh!?! If you're interested in trying out for the Bella Babe spot, you need to enter Bloggabella's challenges every week in August. Good luck and I'll be crossing my fingers!! : )

Hanging in there
Finally... I've gotten to make another card and share it with you. Yeesh! It seems like forever since I've crafted. Feels good to jump in there again.
This is another card I made for my granddaughter. She's been doing really, really well and I'm just so proud of her!! I wanted to remind her to 'hang in there' no matter what's going on in her life. As always, she really seemed to love this card. She's one of my biggest supporters!! : )
Isn't this image from Sassy Cheryl's just the most adorable?? I have a huge love of teddy bears and this one looks especially soft, fluffy and cuddly. I just couldn't wait to color him up.
I couldn't find my 'Hang in there' image I'd received from Whimsie Doodles, so I hand wrote this sentiment. I know... it gets a little smaller as it moves along, but then again... not too bad! : )
Challenges:
Everybody-Art-Challenge - the sketch
Creative Inspirations - animals
Dutch Dare Card Challenges - anything goes
Rosie-D's Challenge - all creatures great and small
By the Cute and Girly - animal antics
Thanks for poppin' in after my little absence. Hope you'll come by again soon.
