No Such Thing as Too Much Candy

That's what my granddaughter thinks anyway!!!

Isn't this little gal absolutely precious???  That face... don't ya just wanna pinch those little cheeks and smooch her?!?  It just makes me smile to look at her!!!  This is called Bunny Girl and comes from Karen's Doodles.  I hope you have some time to go take a look around her blogs you'll find she has many, MANY wonderful images.  You'll be hooked just like I am now.

There are several challenges featuring Easter again this week so this will give me another chance to enter some of them.  I'm also going to try entering her in the Karen's Doodles Challenge which is a photo inspiration this week.  The photo is a pink and green little girl's bedroom.  I'm hoping my 'purple-pink' is close enough!

I sprayed some cherry blossom glimmer mist on the flower.  I know... it's very hard to see in these photos, but trust me... it's there.  : )  I also glittered up the Easter eggs and a little of her inner ears.  And that's about it!

Other challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges - the sketch
Crafty Creations - babies
Simon Says Stamp - Easter/spring and glimmer (got it right this time!!!)
Charisma Cardz Challenge - spring has sprung
Hanna and Friends Challenge - happy Easter
Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Easter
Stampin' for the Weekend - Easter

Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge... on Saturday

Hello again and another happy Friday (Saturday) to you.  This is my second post today (after being totally frustrated by blogspot not responding properly and not letting me post or view anything blogspot!!!).  If you're looking for my Stamp Something post, please scroll down.

Welcome to my little portion of the Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge.  This week's challenge is Easter.  Just in the nick of time!!  Do you think there will be a whole lot of Easter challenges this week???  : )  I bet so too!  There are just soooo many cute Easter images out there!

I chose to use this cute little FREEBIE digi from Bee Crafty.  Don't ya just LOVE the freebies???  Free is FUN!  ; )  Anyhoo this card was quite a work in progress (WIP).  The first version was pretty danged plain (boring).  That's the one you see on the challenge blog.  I decided I just couldn't leave it that way so it was time to add more embellishments!!!  For the second version, I added the different sized pearls on the top and bottom.  Better, but not good enough.  Third version, added the hippity hop sentiment near the top and blushed up their little cheeks a bit.  Much better {nodding}, but still needs something.  That something was stickles on the chickie's comb, bunny's inner ears, tummy and footpads, and the two little flowers.  There much better!!  {Nodding AND smiling!!}  : )

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Charm Barn.  They are offering a $15 gift certificate to one lucky winner.  To top off our cards off, they kindly provided the DT members a couple of adorable Easter charms to use.  I chose to use the bunny charm on my card.  On the other DT cards, you'll see the Easter egg they also gave us.  Aren't they wonderful?  Thanks Charm Barn!!!

Other challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - the sketch
Stamp with Fun - Easter
Everybody-Art-Challenge - Easter
Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge - Easter
Simon Says Stamp - Easter with glitter
The Pixie Cottage - circles
Charisma Cardz - spring has sprung
Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge - photo inspiration
Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Friday Challenge - Easter
Stampin' for the Weekend - Easter
By the Cute and Girly - spring is in the air

Please stop on over and share a little Easter fun with us.  We can't wait to see what you come up with.  THANKS!

It's Friday - Let's Stamp Something!

Good morning stamping friends and happy, HAPPY Friday!  I'm soooo sorry I'm so late with BOTH my DT cards, but ALL day yesterday and again today, I am NOT able to access my blogspot blog!  It appears to be just me... just this computer.  When I login to my work computer, I can access everything just fine.  So that is how this post is getting written.  If anyone has experienced this same thing, please... PLEASE share the fix with me!!!  : )

It's time for another Stamp Something challenge.  YAY!!  This week the challenge is Doodle Something.  Do you all like to doodle?  I do, but I'm only familiar with doodling at the very simple level.  Some of the DT does some very impressive doodling.  Hope you'll take some time and go visit them to see what they've come up with.

Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Simon Says Stamp.  Don't they sponsor just about everybody's challenges????  They are soooo generous with their stamping goodies.  A really great company!  The DT was asked to use supplies that are carried by Simon Says Stamp (if we had them).  I not only HAVE some, I received some from Simon Says Stamp after being selected the random winner on one of their challenges!!!  Suh-weet!!!  Boy, that was a fun thing!!  Naturally, I went a little over the awarded prize!!  What a shocker!!    Here's what I had such fun chosing with my winnings

You can see the Kitchen Tilda in that picture.  Isn't that a great get??  Thanks again Simon Says Stamp!!!

Challenges:
The Sweet Stop - the sketch
Colour Create Challenge - your choice of pastels
Totally Paper Crafts - pink and green
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - pink, green & flowers

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend.  For now, go doodle something.  : )

Paws I Care Birthday

I created another card today using the adorable new set from Whimsie Doodles called "Paws I Care".

Cute, right?  These images make such great cards.  And who wouldn't love getting a card telling them they're somewhere around 100 years old!!  hahahaha!!  My granddaughter thinks this is maybe a little too busy.  I tend to agree.  I'm thinking maybe I should have left the cupcakes off??  : )  Oh well... I still like it!  What do you think??

To help me out, I used the Mojo Monday sketch.  I don't get to join this challenge as often as I'd like but they ALWAYS have great sketches!!  I just hope my post will be up in time!!!

Other challenges:
Think INK Challenge - birthday to celebrate AI's birthday
Creative Card Crew - going dotty
Crafty Creations - spots & dots
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog - another birthday
Cute Card Thursday - celebrations

I think that's it for tonight.  Thanks for stopping by.  Sure hope you enjoyed your visit.  Please... come again soon.

Stamp Something -- Distress Something

Happy Friday my friends!  I'm so happy today because I've actually done the challenge correctly!!!  If you visited my last post, you know what I'm talking about!  hahahaha!!  I really can't believe it Friday again.  Where did this week go!  Been so busy with carting little ones around that it's just flown by.

Here's what I've come up with for this week's challenge at Stamp Something which is Distress Something.  OK... so I was bragging above about how I did the challenge correctly this time.  Well... I must admit, that was only after I'd finished my card, taken pics and was ready to post.  THEN I realized all this was done without any distressing!!!  ACK!  Luckily distressing IS something you can do after the fact and I did!  Obviously I did the sponging type of distressing.  Holy moly... when will I learn?!?!?!?  hahahaha!  I'd better just keep laughing!

I thought I'd share what this card looked like before I distressed it.   Makes quite a difference, eh?  I even distressed the roses which I ended up liking quite a bit!!  I actually like this version better, but the distressed one isn't bad either.

Anyway... our sponsor this week is once again Stamp and Create which features many Wags 'n Whiskers stamps.  Isn't this little gal and her little chickie so adorable?  I was so pleased this is the stamp our sponsor was generous enough to give me to work with.  Both these little chicks are just so sweet and cuddly!  Thank you ladies!

Once again, the little girl's dress and accessories look real blue, but IRL they match the aqua/turquoise blue in the DP papers very well.  Sorry I'm not able to provide you a better respresentation of the true colors.  {sigh}

For the layout, I chose the challenge over at The Sweet Stop.  I just thought it was fabulous!  Thank you ladies!!!  I'll also enter into Crazy Catz Weekly Challenge - Spring.

I guess that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by.  I always enjoy your comments as they always make me smile!!!  Have a great Friday my frirends.

Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge - Green

Now... when you see this card, you'll be hard pressed to understand how it goes with our challenge theme this week.  Well... it's just a silly little story which I'll get to soon.  First, let's take a look at what I came up with.

Hmmmmm... not much green, is there?  OK... later with that.  You've probably seen all the wonderful Sweet Pea Stamps showing up in all the on-line galleries.  Well... this is one of them.  They are our sponsor this week and very generously supplied some of the DT members with stamps from their ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection.  I was lucky enough to end up with this stamp called Blue Eye Fairy.  Isn't she just simply wonderful???  And so fabulous to work up into a card.

Well... you've probably guessed by now why there's so much blue in this card and not so much green.  I was so intent on making everything bring out her blue eyes, I kinda lost track of the challenge!!!  hahaha!!  Can you believe that one?  I really should have worked her into a green eyed fairy.  Then it would have been perfect!!

I used the sketch challenge over at Inspirational Card Sketches.  It was perfect for the card I wanted to make with this stamp.  I appreciate your help ladies!!

Thanks for dropping by today.  Hope to see you again very soon.  Please come and join us this week at Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge and remember... GREEN!!!  : )

Cream and Green Somethings for Stamp Something

Good morning stampers.  My fave day of the week is here again and time for some more fun.  Today at Stamp Something the challenge is Cream and Green Somethings.  I worked up a card that celebrates the St. Patrick's Day holiday coming up right around the corner.

Cheers to all the Irish and all the Irish-wanna-bes.  If there was ever a place I'd like to visit it would be Ireland.  I think that would be an absolutely wonderful trip.

The image and sentiment I chose are from the newest release of Whimsie Doodles.  This week's challenge is being sponsored by the ever popular Bunny Zoe.  I hope you'll have some time to check out her store and see all the great items she has available.  There is lots of great stuff!!

I got a little help this week from those great gals at CardPatterns.  They provided the great sketch  I used for this challenge.  Thanks gals!!!  This also fits The Pixie Cottage - the color green.

We'd love it if you'd join in with us this week and bring on your cream and green.  Have a great day my friends. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you soon.  A special thanks to those who take the time to leave me a comment.  I really love them all!!

More Whimsie Doodles New Release Cards

Hi stamping friends.  So sorry I didn't get the post I had intended to do yesterday done.  Due to that mishap... today you'll be getting a two for one post!

How did you like Friday's new releases from Whimsie Doodles?  I just love 'em all!!  I worked up a couple cards using the adorable Baby Bear digital images.  Just too cute for words, aren't they!!

Such sweet faces, huh!?!?!  Simple yet sooooo scrumptious!!  Don't ya just wanna kiss up on them for awhile?   These little sweeties are just so easy to work up... fun too!

For the baby boy I used the layout from Create 4 Fun.  At least I started with that, then switched it around a little as my bottle circle sentiment turned out a little bigger than anticipated.  Unfortunately I missed that challenge, but they've put another great sketch up on their blog!  I wanted to use this great blue plaid DP.  My granddaughter helped me pick which ribbon to use for this card and I think she chose the perfect one.  : )

For the girl, I used the fabulous Sketch Saturday sketch.  It fit in so well with what I wanted to do.  And... I had to use some more of that fabulous roses DP.

Other challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenge - round and round
Double Dutch - boys only
Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge - brown, blue and white
Papertake Weekly Challenge - buttons, bows, brads and bling
Creative Card Crew - celebrations

I guess that's all I have for today.  Time to go make some more use of this Sunday.  I have a bed to put together!!  Luckily it's a toddlers' bed and nothing big!  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday friends and have a great start to your week tomorrow.

THANKS!

Whimsie Doodles Release Day - WooHOO

It's the day!  Friday... release day... Whimsie Doodles... what could be better!?!  Here's what I came up with using the new 'How Sweet' rubber stamp set.

You can find this set along with the other March releases at the Whimsie Doodles store.  The other adorable images are all digital and are just as great.  This fruit bowl is actually filled with cherries, but I turned them into peaches.  I don't think it's too far off the mark?!?!?!

If you'd pop on over to the Whimsie Doodles blog, you can see the entire release!  I don't think you'll be disappointed.  : )  In addition... there's a chance to win some new images!!  And please don't forget to go visit all the DT blogs as they always have great things to share.

For the layout, I got a little help from my friends at CPS.  Thanks gals!!

Thanks for coming by today.  Stop back in tomorrow.  I'll have another new release card to share with you.  Have a great day my friends.

Spring Fling with Whimsie Doodles

Hi all my stamping friends.  So glad you stopped by as I know I've been MIA lately.  My life has taken a huge turn and is unrecognizable from a couple of weeks ago.  I won't get into that now, but just wanted to explain why I've been gone a little while.

Today is a fun day as I've was lucky enough to do something I'd never done before.  Host a challenge!!  It's the Whimsie Doodles Wednesday Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet (see my sidebar).  What a fun thing!!

I decide I was totally sick of winter and ready for some 'prettiness' in nature.  I chose Spring Fling for the  challenge this week and threw in an option for flowers.  Flowers... I need flowers!!!  : )  I decided to go with this Papermania paper along with some great roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  LOVE that paper.  I'd seen it being used by others and just HAD to get me some.

And don't ya just love this little Whimsie Doodles Easter basket?  Soooooo cute!!!  Whimsie Doodles has a great line of Easter images, either rubber stamps and/or digital images.  My image was stamped with the new rubber stamps.  Now... "How Egg-citing!" is that?!  : )

I guess that's all I've got for now.  Hope you'll have time to pop over to Paper Craft Planet and join in on our Spring Fling challenge.  Take care friends and have a great day!!

Thank you!
