Sorry to bug, bug, bug ya!!!

I just got this wonderful paper from the Archiver's store when I visited for the first time a couple weeks ago.  I LOVE it!!  It's from Creative Imaginations and I just think it's great.  I decided to team it up with the bug stamp from Whimsie Doodles "Stitch 'ems" set.

It's soooo easy to make a fun card when you have wonderful DPs to work with.  So easy AND such a pleasure.  PLUS, coloring up these little ladybugs was great too!  This set is really so versatile.  It includes six (6) images that are all just adorable.  Click on the Whimsie Doodles link above and you'll be taken right to it.

Each ladybug was cut out then placed on top of another stamped image.  It gave me just a little more dimension which I like.  Now, I simply have to admit... I must the THE worst cutter outer in the whole world!!  I don't know why it's such a challenge for me!?!  Even with these extremely easy to cut out images, I kept messing up.  I'll just have to live with bad cutting all my life, I guess!!

Challenges:
CPS - the sketch
Totally Paper Crafts - photo inspiration
Stampin' for the Weekend - card to make someone smile or cheer them up

Oh... and I wanted to share a little tip with all you prismacolor pencil folks out there.  You may already know this, but I didn't.  You cannot use copic markers over areas colored with prismacolor pencils.  I learned that the hard way with this card.  Actually, it looks like it works fine, but man... if you touch the copic area... it smudges!!  I solved my dilemma by putting some crystal effects over each and every black dot and that did the trick.  And now we know!  : )

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'm always thrilled.  Take care and happy Tuesday!!

Gorgeous ladybugs!

Ah yes, I know that about copics. The alcohol ink does not adhere to the waxy surface.

You can use the two together, but always lay down your copic base first, and then highlight with your prismacolor pencils. I do this with 90% of my cards.
